The major project, located at the Moorebank Intermodal Container Yard, included the demolition of existing structures and the removal and processing of 3,000 trees within environmentally sensitive areas. The Civil Experts was contracted to undertake early work packages, which included structural demolition, remediation of asbestos and PFAS-contaminated soils, disconnection of existing redundant services, removal, demolition, trench backfill, and testing. The project scope also encompassed tree removal and land clearing, tub-grinding, and offsite disposal of vegetation waste. Additionally, The Civil Experts completed road upgrades and widening, as well as the construction of swales and basins.
