TCE Contracting successfully delivered the Sydney AutoStrad Botany Rail Expansion (SABRE) Stage-4 – Automated Straddles Refuel Bay project at Port Botany, NSW. The project was required to provide automated refuelling infrastructure for the new SABRE Patrick Terminals. Completed under TfNSW and local council specifications, this complex project involved multiple stages of precise execution.
The first stage focused on infrastructure demolition and stormwater drainage improvements, including safeguarding critical utility services, bulk excavation, and installation of ground service lines. The second stage involved installation of stormwater, fuel, electrical and mechanical services lines and pits, and existing subgrade improvement and reconditioning. The next stage consisted of constructing heavy-duty concrete pavements for key operational areas, along with asphalt pavement, kerbs, and line marking. During the final stage, TCE completed structural and mechanical work, including building an oil tank storage facility, major steel structures, road furniture such as heavy duty bollard installation, and completion of pavement markings.
TCE’s meticulous planning and innovative solutions ensured the successful completion of this critical infrastructure project, enhancing the operational efficiency of the Botany rail network.
