The Growing Resource Crisis

Recent estimates predict that humanity is already using more than the earth’s current available natural resources. If this trend continues, it is estimated that humanity will need three earth sized planets worth of natural resources by 2025.

Urgent Need for Resource Transformation

During the past two decades, global material consumption has increased by over 65%, reaching a staggering 95.1 billion metric tonnes in 2019.  For the survival and well-being of people and the planet, statistics like this highlight the importance of transforming the consumption of resources residentially and industrially. This waste is driving climate change and other adverse environmental impacts.

TCE’s Commitment to a Circular Economy for a Sustainable Future

Studies show that to return to safe limits of consumption, a reduction to a third of the current global material extraction and consumption is required. Transitioning to a circular economy will be instrumental to achieving this.

TCE is passionate about taking steps to counter climate change and embody the principals of the Circular Economy.
